Congratulations for making it to the half way point of the program. There have been countless successes for most in the program already and many more to come.
Remember to cut back on protein consumption for the next three weeks and follow the recommendations on the webinar per Nutritional ID.
Here are the supplement recommendations for week four.
Continue with:
- One teaspoon of Turmero and Resvero before breakfast and dinner
- Two teaspoons of Ultra D before breakfast and dinner
- Finish all gut supplements at the dose you have been using until they are gone
- Add one packet of Hepato-Synergy before breakfast and dinner
- Days 1 - 4 in week four add one scope of Clearvite as a shake or smoothie before breakfast or as your breakfast
- Days 5 - 7 in week four add an additional Clearvite shake or smoothie before both breakfast and dinner

I don't understand why less protein. I just had my trainer tell me I need around 100-150 grams of protein a day (1.5 grams per pound). I know that at least in the past, when I don't have enough protein, I am out of sorts and wind up not losing weight (if I'm working on that).
ReplyDeleteAlso, frankly, I was lost with all the mumbo jumbo about the NK inflammation stuff. I really don't know what any of that means - it's like listening to a foreign language with no context. Right over the old head... Could you discuss it without using those words? Is there a way to do that?
Nancy, congratulations!! (In case you don't see my reply to your great news from Week 3 Blog.)
DeleteI'm sure Glen will answer this better than me, but just temporarily, we will be eating a little less protein so the liver is less taxed while we clean it out over the next few weeks. I know what you mean - gotta have my meat! Maybe take it a little easier for a few weeks. There's a saying the CFO and founder of the company I'm partnered with says: "Go slow to go fast." :)
Less protein is essential for this phase for clearing out the liver. I understand what you trainer is telling you but he/she is not making this recommendation based on your program, rather on muscle building. I would recommend not worrying about "counting" your nutrition on this program. It will likely only create anxiety for you.
DeleteThe NF-kB is basically chronic inflammation. The inflammation itself creates issues with leaky gut, liver problems, autoimmunity and increase fat cells. In turn all of these actually create more inflammation, so round and round we go. This is the reason for the different focuses in the program.
Hey Glen, I was thinking the GI Synergy we've taken in the past came in a bigger can and had more capsules in each packet. Is this a different formula or are we using a different formula or am I just not remembering right? It doesn't seem to be as strong, either. Maybe I don't have as many critters in me as before...
ReplyDeleteActually last year was the same but previous years the tub was bigger and each packet contained six capsules instead of three. Same exact formulas, just more of them. My understanding is that this was changed because so many people had challenges with that dose. You could also be right about the critters.
DeleteIt's kind of interesting being 'behind' everyone in this process. It's hopeful seeing all the great things being accomplished and knowing I'm just weeks away from the same. Looking forward to this first week being over. The headaches and stomach discomfort not so fun!! But I know...this too shall pass.
DeleteYesterday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - One Italian sausage link
Lunch - 2 tacos without shell
Dinner - Clearvite shake

ReplyDeleteI am having some issues. I wound up gaining a lot of weight since yesterday (1-5 pounds - my scale is driving me nuts). It changes based on when I get on it - first thing in the morning, an hour later, etc.etc. etc.
ReplyDeleteAt first I figured that it was the garbanzo beans I ate for the first time yesterday (and pre my walk this morning it was only 1 pound), and I figured my body just didn't like the beans, even though I felt well all day, but today I am feeling really lethargic and foggy headed. Could it be the new supplements?
I'm exhausted, achy, and just basically out of sorts.
First off it is good to have a consistent time to weigh yourself. I do first thing in the morning after my initial BM and before drinking any water.
DeleteThis is likely the beans but could be a part of a increased liver function. Stay away from the beans and see how you do then.
Keep us updated.
I'm feeling so bloated I feel like my abdomen is going to burst. It's huge!!! I've eaten very little and low protein and no beans. Grrr... feeling a little frustrated - no, I'm feeling very very very frustrated.
DeleteHey Nancy, I understand your frustration. We all want to get that weight off fast. I have been taught through the years, and it has worked for me, to weigh only once a week (first thing in the morning after using the restroom). Our weight will probably fluctuate during the week and it most definitely will during the day as Glen said.
DeleteFocus on the positive, healthy activity you are doing and not the scale.
Yesterday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - Clearvite with coconut milk
Lunch - Mixed vegetables with one small sausage link
Dinner - 3 ounces of chicken with sweet potato
Snack - Tablespoon of vanilla coconut ice cream
I'm really having some challenges. Pain in legs at night is getting worse. Bad inflammatory burning in my knees and neuralgia/restless leg feelings in legs. I've had some dull back pain in my liver area off and on the past weeks but this afternoon it became intense. I did a couple of rounds of EFT tapping and got a little bit of relief.
ReplyDeleteI think some Hazelnut Fudge Coconut Bliss would help. :)
Just kidding...
not really...
I would suggest cutting your dosing in half on the liver products and see if this helps Jaelin. 1/2 scoop of Clearvite and only 1 packet of Hepato-Synergy per day. Do this for a few days and let us know how you feel.
ReplyDeleteHi Glen,
ReplyDeleteAs far as the meal plan ideas for the week go, is this good for protein types also?
It will be important to adjust protein needs individually but this would likely be fine for most, but not all protein types. Let me know if you need some help figuring it out.
DeleteI notice nuts and seeds are not on the "Foods to Avoid" list this time except for peanuts. Is a small amount of nuts and seeds okay?
ReplyDeleteStill only chia and flax.
DeleteI'm trying to pay attention to exactly how I feel after I eat specific things. I have a hard pain in my upper abdomen after I take the supplements. This morning, all I took was RepairVite, Vit D, Turmero, Resvero. I was having this before the Turmero arrived, just not paying attention.
ReplyDeleteI would stop everything for one day Jaelin and let your body reset.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was thinking that. You know I've mentioned to you that the pregnenolone and DHEA drops upset my stomach. That's probably what it was. I don't wake up early enough to take them 15 minutes after food. Is there an alternative? Can diet and lifestyle do the same of stick with it?
Delete"...IF I stick with it?"
DeleteResetting the feed back loop typically takes more than lifestyle. Try placing the drops in a teaspoon of water when taking.
DeleteYesterday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - Clearvite with coconut milk
Lunch - Chicken thigh with assorted veggies and half avocado
Dinner - Chicken sausage with broccoli
Snack - One tablespoon of vanilla ice cream with blueberries
How does anyone eat ONE tablespoonful of ice cream?!?! haha
ReplyDeleteElite control...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat is actually why I do not advertise this as an option. Most actually cannot eat a tablespoon. Of course I have to be in integrity with displaying my meals, so the secret is out.
DeleteYesterday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - Clearvite with coconut milk
Snack - Coconut flakes
Lunch - Neckter tropical smoothie
Snack - Ham on plantain chips
Dinner - Burger with bacon and avocado with a side of black beans. Also hummus on cucumber slices as appetizer
No protein until late afternoon did not work well for me.
DeleteAre we allowed to have dried fruit? What about tomatoes?
ReplyDeleteOnly fresh fruit and not tomato as of yet.
Deletehi everyone!
ReplyDeleteGlen my cold is better thank you for the suggestions.
I have a few questions about allowable foods.
Can we use...
unsweetened coconut dream, organic chicken broth, vegetable broth, balsamic vinegar?
Do you buy or make the plantain chips and sweet potatoe chips?
Thanks, Brenda
Yes to all except the balsamic vinegar and I buy the plantain and sweet potato chips from Trader Joes.
DeleteGlen
ReplyDeleteI have another question.
I am flying to Las Vegas to meet uo with familly on feb. 27 - March 2.
the program doesn't end til March 4. What do I do about the suppliments? And I really would like a glass of wine with dinner! I know sounds bad after all this work!!!
What do you suggest?
Brenda
I am in the same boat traveling to New York next week. I am taking my supplements with and using as I have. I will put the liquids in smaller travel containers and I'll simply grab some coconut milk at a store when I get there. Probably bring one container with if we check a bag.
DeleteAs far as the wine is concerned, I would not recommend it, especially since you will be in the liver detox phase. If you do decide to have one, make sure you do this with the least amount of damage. So have your glass of wine after you have taken your pre-meal Clearvite shake, eaten you meal and then have you wine as a desert with added fat, such as some olives.
You 2 will need to check the bags with the liquid supplements in them.
DeleteYesterday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - Clearvite with coconut milk and cream with blueberries
Snack - Handful of plantain chips
Appetizer - Plantain chips in guacamole
Dinner - Salmon filet, small piece of ribeye with cubed and seasoned yam with onion and coconut spread in a foil pack on the grill
Dessert - 2 tablespoons of coconut ice cream
I also had 2 teas with coconut creamer and many glasses of muddled blueberry with club soda
Remember that starting today, Sunday, we are adding the second Clearvite shake before breakfast and dinner.
ReplyDeleteSunday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - Clearvite with coconut milk and cream with blueberries
Lunch - Black bean vegetarian chili with a salad
Dinner - Clearvite with coconut milk and cream with blueberries along with a chicken leg and thigh
Snack - Blueberries with coconut cream
I've been super busy and not able to comment - really much - for the past week or two. My weight was infuriating. Didn't lose at all and in fact felt more bloated than ever until just this weekend. It's dropping bit by bit.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I started the Turmero and liver stuff on the same day since it was a change of protocol. That was last Thurs and I had an awful headache Thurs night, all day Fri and all day Sat. That's VERY unusual for me. I continued to drink lots of water did a lot of EFT tapping and stuck with everything else.
I felt better Sunday and, thankfully, feel fine today. I've actually dropped a whole pound (take the celebrations where you find them) in the last 10 days. Onward and upward!
Happy to hear that you are improving Sue! I would have recommended that you back off the supplements a bit but seeing that this is not an issue any longer, keep moving forward. We are doing deeper into the liver cleanse starting Wednesday, so let's look for some shifts for you soon.
DeleteYesterday's meals:
ReplyDeleteBreakfast - Clearvite with coconut milk and cream with blueberries
Snack - Tea with coconut cream
Lunch - Chicken thigh and leg with an avocado
Snack - Coconut water
Dinner - Clearvite with coconut milk then allowable meatloaf with flax flat bread
Snack - Small bowl of vanilla coconut ice cream
And the good news with yesterday's meals is that I lost 2.2 pounds.
